What do you know of Lola Montez. Born in Limerick, Ireland. She was probably one of the most outrageous women of the nineteenth century. Famed for her provocative 'Tarantula Dance' and her stunning beauty. Men melted in her presence. She was responsible for revolution in Poland, and was the cause of King Ludwig of Bavaria's abdication. Though Ludwig showered her with jewels, she died at the tender age of 39, in 1861, alone, and penniless, in a squalid boarding room in Brooklyn, N.Y.
